Looking back at our 2016 listening sessions with Code Magazine, we remember how much fun we had spending long evenings with music, great company, and a few very special drinks. Peter curated the drinks and the "awesome" music, while Danny from TheFindMag introduced us to great discoveries in hip-hop and beyond.
Those sessions marked the start of a period in which we reviewed audio and music for magazines and shared music experiences with people who had real passion and deep knowledge across genres including hip-hop, electronic, house, minimal electronics, jazz, and classical music.
For vinyl lovers, that period also brought our first serious encounters with the Chord Mojo in 2015 as an affordable high-end personal digital audio component. We already knew the traditional world of high-end amplification through brands like Bryston and Benchmark.
Combining Bryston with TotalDac D1 and PureAudioProject offered a different experience: open-baffle listening, a more open presentation, and a fresh way of thinking about how music can fill a room.
