The get-togethers are coming back

29.7.2026 · Nachrichten · 1 min

Earlier this month we walked CanJam London — the show's tenth year, our third CanJam since 2016. Two days of listening, comparing, meeting people and having conversations, a reminder why this hobby is best in company. A show floor tells you things a spec sheet never will; part of what earns a place on our shelf gets decided there, with music playing and someone next to you asking: did you hear that too?

The habit is older than the relaunch. We've done listening sessions with CODE and TheFind Magazine since 2016 — afternoons built around good music, good gear, good company and not much else. Somewhere along the way, the habit earned a name: the get-together.

So here's the news. GloriousSound reopens in August — quietly. That month belongs to the shelf, and to the people who make what's on it. From September, the get-togethers return.

The idea is simple. We bring the listening room to where people already gather: an office after hours, a tasting room, a place with a story. Reference headphones and IEMs on the table, something good to eat and drink, no counter and no queue. You listen at your own pace. Everything in the room can be bought or ordered — but the gear does the talking, not us.

Most people have never heard their own music the way it was made. Listening with good quality head-fi is a small luxury everyone is allowed to have. The first sessions start this autumn, and spots will be limited — not to be exclusive, but because a good listening seat can't be mass-produced. The list hears first: leave your email below, and read more about the get-togethers on our events page.
